Hemofiltration is a renal replacement treatment used in the intensive care units. It is often used to treat acute kidney injury, but may also be useful in multiple organ dysfunction syndrome.
Used with Diapact®pre-assembled CRRT set and Haemofilter Diacap® Acute M filter.
Plasma exchange (plasma exchange, plasmapheresis) is a treatment method based on taking the blood out of the body, separating the plasma, one of its 4 components, from the blood and giving the rest of it back to the circulation with the replacement fluid. Plasmapheresis is used primarily in the treatment of hematological, immunological and neurological diseases, either as a basic treatment or as an adjunct treatment to existing treatments. It is highly effective in the treatment of clinical syndromes associated with Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura and paraproteinemias among hematological diseases.
